Renew your American Legion Membership

If you are looking to join the American Legion Family for the first time, click here to go to our Join page

By now you should have received your 2026 membership renewal form. You can return that form with a $45 check made out to McHenry American Legion. 

Login to mylegion.org and click on the big red MY ACCOUNT button. Options include annual renewal, an auto renewal check box (great for keeping us out of your hair), and Paid Up For Life info. 

Stop at the post and see any of our super-awesome bartenders to pay in person. We can accept cash, check, and credit cards for renewals.

You read that right. You can pay your membership with Zelle. Send a $45 payment to payments@alpost491.org. Include your membership number in the memo. 

Don't let financial struggles be the reason you don't renew your membership. We take care of our own. Contact Sean -  adjutant@alpost491.org or any post officer.  Let's see if we can get you some relief. Conversations are 100% confidential.

Pay for 4 years and we've got your 5th year. This option is not available at mylegion.org but it is available on the form below or you can pay at the post. Let the bartender know you want the 5 year option and pay by cash, check, or credit card.
