Steps of Honor: Veterans Riverwalk Walkathon
Join us June 6th at Veterans Park in McHenry
Right here in our McHenry-area community, many veterans face challenges such as financial hardship, limited access to resources, and the need to feel remembered and supported. Through the efforts of our local McHenry American Legion Auxiliary Unit 491, we work to provide assistance, recognition, and care to those who have served our country.
Through our fundraising efforts, we are able to directly support local veterans and their families—and we need your help to continue this important work.
On June 6th, 2026, we will host Steps of Honor: Veterans Riverwalk, a community walkathon along the McHenry Riverwalk. This meaningful event honors those who have served while raising funds for veteran programs and local charitable initiatives. The event will begin and end at Veterans Park and include vendor tents, raffle baskets, live music, kids activities, and a 50/50 drawing.
